I would like to present the only toy my daughter asks for the name, my dog Scout Pal Interactive (This is, of course, assuming your name is actually "Woof Woof" as she insists that is). When I got to know the representative LeapFrog's time to Play Holiday Showcase and he showed me the different features interactive on My Pal, I knew immediately that it would be a hit with my 16 months old.
Itp_19156_scout_Par_62204_Image_350But I did not realize what a huge hit it would be at the same time. From the moment she opened the box, she snuggled him as an old friend and not let it go. She even took it right off to bed with her, with my Pal Scout singing their 10 minutes of music to sleep so she could sleep.
This fact caused a bit of a problem because I had to try to get him away from his sync with the Leap Frog connect. Surprisingly, only two hours after being released she could not imagine life without him, so I had to wait until she fell asleep when you turn your computer to customize their interactions.
The My Pal and My Pal Scout Violet are unique interactive toys that can be programmed to remember the name of his son and some of his favorite things. As is the case for something custom, they were incredibly excited to use the name of custom. We are connected Scout (sorry, "Woof Woof") to the computer and started to choose between hundreds of names and create default, until he found his name and correct pronunciation. Once you set it, then we have to choose from a huge list of items to define their favorite food, color and animal. After these were all set I have to choose the Scout music plays the music of the day, and its lullaby at night.
Yes, that's right, you can view and choose their own songs for my Scout Pal to play! To all parents out there who had to listen to your favorite music played at least one and over and over again on a favorite toy of his son, the staff of the Leap Frog heard their cries. I really thought the selection was very good and had a hard time narrowing down my top choices. Even better than being able to customize the Leap Frog? My Pal is that you can change your mind at any time and pick new favorites, new music, or even a new name for him to say.
XCIMG7213 The next day the baby was so excited to discover that Scout had not left her after all and was even more when she heard her name first. Husband and I thought it was hilarious when Scout will pause a little before entering the baby's name in a song or a greeting, but most just think the whole thing was lovely. Baby Seeing Eye's light up when he calls her and hear her name spoken by her super cute voice can not be described as something sweeter.
LeapFrog Baby loves? My Pal Scout as she insists on taking it with her when she goes to bed at night and he sits and sings to her until she falls asleep almost every night. But much cooler than your new bedtime routine is soothing capabilities Scout in the middle of the night. Countless times I have heard she wakes up after midnight and reach over to start the music again throw Scout. As I'm about to get up to check it, I will listen to his instrumental music start up and I see your love with him on the video monitor of the baby. Thanks, Scout!
My Pal Scout touches on some really important aspects of learning, like first words, the introduction of numbers and learning through music that captivates baby when she is playing with him. When he is singing his song of the day, she likes to dance with him and Bob head. She also really like making animal sounds Scout, which are a favorite new things too, hence the name "Woof Woof".
The only problem we had with My Pal Scout really had more to do with my computer than with Scout himself. I did not have the Adobe Flash Player 10 installed on my laptop and was trying to run the Leap Frog My Pal Adobe with the previous version as the instructions specified, but it happens that the version 10 is required in order to personalize your My Pal Scout or violet. At first I did not think my computer is fast enough to load the screen to customize, but it was incredibly relieved when the technical support to the Leap Frog diagnosed the problem within seconds of my call. Just a few minutes later and Scout was singing favorite songs of the baby.

Overall: I absolutely love Scout My Pal and My Pal Violet and I think this is one of the best baby and children's toys this Christmas.
